Looking back on this beautiful laid back wedding day at Northview Garden’s has me so excited for this years wedding season. I am so giddy to get back to documenting all the love, hugs, laughter, tears, golden hours and sweet summer weather. Some of my most favourite moments during Andrea’s and Kyles day include; Andreas dad was brought to tears seeing her for the first time before walking her down the isle, Kyles excitement watching his best friend walk down the isle to him, how Andrea cut her first dance short with her father so she could twirl with her grandfather and the gorgeous sunset at the end of the day. Andrea and Kyle is was an honour celebrating with you. xo

I asked Andrea and Kyle a few questions too!

1. How did you two meet and fall in love? Who said I love you first?

“We first met around grade 7 in elementary school, we started hanging out together a lot and quickly became best friends. One night while hanging out at the local community centre, I was dared to kiss Kyle and I didn’t want to because it was my first kiss and I was so nervous. I was quickly convinced and after that night that’s when it all started. We started dating in grade 8 and became inseparable very quickly, first and foremost Kyle was always my best friend!! One day while tobogganing, I told Kyle I loved him first but he said it back. A couple times in high school kyle and I broke up, but we look back and laugh now because it only ever lasted a few days until we both missed each other. I believe we were always meant to be together.”

2. Who proposed? Your favourite details about your engagement story?

“Kyle proposed on a beach in Mexico while on vacation with my family. I had no idea this was happening because we always had a plan of getting engaged after I finished college, but he said he just couldn’t wait any longer. He proposed on the beach with my whole family watching from a distance. It was the best and most exciting day for me, until we both got food poisoning for the rest of the trip. It is something we will never forget.”

3. What are your top 3 Best Moments during our wedding day and why?

“Our wedding day was our favourite day so far, we have never felt so much love in one place! My favourite memories from our wedding, reading our vows that we wrote to each other, listening to our families and friends speeches, and getting to have our first dance together outside at sunset.”

4. What are your top Favourite Wedding Details?

“My favourite wedding details were the outdoor laidback setting of our venue, the amazing photographers we had capturing all of our special moments, and having our closest friends and family there to celebrate with us, oh and also most of the decorations being handmade because I was able to appreciate all of the hard work we did come together that day!”

5. What would be a piece of advice for other couples getting married?

“My advice for wedding couples is to just be present the whole day and soak it all in how beautiful it is to have people come to celebrate your love! Don’t sweat the small stuff, just enjoy all the amazing parts of the day, especially getting to be married!!!”
